The popular online hotel booking service Booking.com announced on its website that upon cancellation of the reservation, the hotels will refund any prepayment made by them and will not be charged a cancellation penalty, as well as any other fees and charges. Booking.com, in turn, will not charge any hotel commission for these bookings.
Exceptional Circumstances apply to bookings in the USA, Canada, Schengen countries, Turkey, most European countries, China, South Korea, Singapore, UAE, Argentina. A more detailed list is available on the service website.
How do I cancel a booking on Booking.com?
For bookings made after March 14, or no later than March 14, but arriving after April 14, 2020, the normal cancellation policy will apply. If the arrival time has passed, this good reason does not apply.

- You can cancel a reservation or change its dates on your own through your personal account or through the customer support service.
- In your personal account on the website or in the application, you can cancel your booking with one click of a button.
- Also, if you contact the hotel directly, they will be able to process the request themselves, without referring you to the Booking customer service.

- Go to the "Trips" section and select the desired trip.
- Click on "Your booking".
- Click on "Change booking".
- A new page will open where you can change or cancel your reservation. Click "Next" in the "Cancel reservation" section to proceed with the cancellation process.
