Devil's face? A dancing angel without a head? Karate nuns? If you saw something like this in these blots, then you are definitely crazy! Now I will tell you all about the Rorschach test, and also diagnose you with schizophrenia!
Introduction
Thanks to the filmmakers, now we all know why these terrible blots were created! All these butterflies, animal skins, bats and masks. We have all seen these pictures more than once. And I think some of you already know the correct answers in advance. But stop. They are not there. Everyone sees something of their own in the blots of Rorschach. But will the answer to the hackneyed question "what do you see in the picture?" to understand all the hidden subtleties of our personality? Let's go figure it out!
History
No, that same Rorschach is not your favorite character from the Watchmen comic. Hermann Rorschach is a renowned Swiss psychologist and student of the legendary Carl Gustav Jung. Since childhood, he wanted to become an artist, was actively involved in painting and graphics. But the main passion of the young Rorschach was blots, namely the technique of drawing with their use. In this regard, “in the yard” he was christened a “blot”, but he never became an artist. He studied to be a doctor and became a good specialist in the field of psychiatry. During his career as a doctor, he was actively involved in research on the psyche and personality formation, the result of which was the famous test. He regularly showed his patients symmetrical blots of various shapes and colors. Through trial and error,
Test
After conducting hundreds of tests with Blots, Rorschach managed to systematize his observations, chose 10 most suitable images (5 - black, 2 - black and red and 3 - multi-colored) with blots, and also identified a set of typical associations that arise when looking at these drawings in various patients with characteristic personality traits. The test was ready. 10 pictures (which are shown in a certain order and the same question "what do you see in the picture?"
How is it going?
The test taker should name everything he / she sees, clarify where he / she sees it and why the ink stain evokes this or that image in him / her. The card can be twisted, tilted, turned upside down - that is, viewed as you please. All words and actions of the patient are recorded and the duration of the responses is noted.
Lack of reaction or inability to describe what is depicted on the card may indicate the presence of a psychological blockage in the sphere represented by such a card, or a temporary reluctance to accept such a sphere.
These categories have elaborate classifications and interpretations. Generally, “cumulative grades” are studied, ie. the sums of the same type of assessments, the relationship between them. The totality of all obtained relationships allows you to create a single and unique structure of interrelated personality traits.
After analyzing the patient's answers, Rorschach could determine the following: a person's self-esteem, his fears, secret desires, relationships with parents, sexuality, and of course - the presence of schizophrenia. Well, at least he thought so himself. In fact, the Rorschach test is not recognized in modern medicine and there are a number of objective reasons for this. Firstly, a person can simply freeze something completely random, regardless of associations, which means that it will be impossible to determine the exact diagnosis, as it was assumed in the case of schizophrenia. Secondly, all these typical answers, which supposedly should tell the doctor about the peculiarities of your personality, are based on banal statistics. This means that if you answered in the standard way (for example, that you saw a bat, like thousands of other people), it will not mean anything yet. The Rorschach test is about probabilities. That is, if you answered so-and-so, and not so-and-so, then you are more likely to have this and not that. Probably! The conclusions of the tests are based on the observations and results of thousands of people who have passed it before you. But this is far from the entire population of the Earth, which means that the test may still not take into account many things. However, when I took the test, it actually confirmed some of my personality traits. So you can go for fun too.
Card 1
If you saw two male figures in the picture, then everything is in order - you are heterosexual. Sexual or female figures - a great tendency towards homosexuality.
Card 2
Almost everyone can see a bat or a butterfly in this picture. But if you suddenly see something else - my congratulations, comrade schizophrenic!
Card 3
I saw two rats, or any other four-legged animals - everything is in order. If you feel discomfort at the sight of this picture, you are most likely depressed.

Each Rorschach test answer is deciphered and classified using a specially designed character system into 5 categories:
- Localization (selection of the entire image or its individual details for the answer);
- Determinants (what exactly is used to form the answer: the shape of the image, its color, shape and color at the same time, etc.);
- The level of the form (how adequately the form of the image is reflected in the answer, while the most frequently obtained interpretations are used as a criterion);
- Content (what or who exactly the answer concerns: people, animals, plants, inanimate objects, abstract figures, etc.);
- Originality - popularity (very rare answers are considered original, and those that are found in at least 30% of the respondents are considered popular).
These categories have elaborate classifications and interpretations. Generally, “cumulative grades” are studied, ie. the sums of the same type of assessments, the relationship between them. The totality of all obtained relationships allows you to create a single and unique structure of interrelated personality traits.

For example, here at this link: http://lmlnews.ru/test-rorshaha/ , or stupidly googling. Here are just a couple of my favorite examples.

That's all for me, I wish you a healthy psyche and fewer blots in your life. See you in new posts!
