We figured out how, in addition to issuing loans to the population and business, banks make money

There is a wide range of commissions that generate income for banks.
All income that the bank receives is divided into interest and commissions. The group of interest income includes interest on the use of money issued as a loan to the population and business. This also includes interest received on investments in various financial instruments, for example, domestic government bonds, income from placing funds in other banks and the NBU.

The group of fee and commission income includes income received from a wide range of services - transactions for replenishment and transfer of money, servicing credit accounts, operations with securities, currency.

For example, bank takes the following commissions for servicing the "Standard" account of individuals within the basic tariff package:
  • opening an account - some money;
  • issuance of funds from the bank's cash desk for non-cash receipts from other banks - 1.5% of the transaction amount;
  • transfer of funds from an account within the bank to any account - 0.5% (except for transfer to your own account, to a deposit account, to pay off credit debt and as charitable assistance within the bank);
  • transfer of funds to an account with another bank - 1.5%;
  • connecting / changing conditions at the initiative of the client - some money;
  • blocking the possibility of carrying out transactions with a card with placement in the international stop-list for 2 weeks - $ 40 - for Visa, 40 euros - for MasterCard;
  • cash withdrawal from an account opened with a bank through an ATM, through cash desks using POS-terminals, as well as withdrawal of funds received from other banks - 1.5%;
  • cash withdrawal abroad - 2% of the transaction amount + 2.00 USD / 2.00 EUR / 5.00 PLN;
  • currency conversion when carrying out transactions with a card in a currency other than the account currency - 1%;
  • providing information on the state of the bank account on the check - some money;
  • settlements for telecom services at the bank's ATMs - some money;
  • transfer of funds in the online banking system for private individuals for amounts over UAH 10 thousand - 0.2%;
  • exchange transactions with foreign currency - 0.1 - 10%;
  • conversion of receipts from another bank in a foreign currency other than the account currency - 0.5%;
  • cancellation and change of conditions of transfer in foreign currency - some money.
As part of servicing a credit card from a regular payment, the bank takes a commission of 4%.
