More than half of those surveyed use their phones to make mobile payments, according to a new study by the National Credit Unions Association (CUNA) in the United States among smartphone users. The study also found that whether a person uses mobile payments or not, security is the most important issue for him. This was reported by Reuters.

More than three quarters of respondents (77.7%) cited safety as their top concern. Other issues are less important, such as phone battery life (6.9%), difficulty in use (6.4%), insufficient bonuses (5.1%), and inability to keep track of the budget (4.0%).

Among those surveyed who use mobile payments, 91.6% say that ease of use of such payments is the biggest advantage. The average amount of one transaction carried out using a mobile phone was $ 50.

When it comes to bonus programs, traditional payment methods still prevail over mobile payments. Mobile payments were seen as less preferred in using reward programs (6.1%). Most users prefer credit cards (41.8%) and debit cards (25.9%).

The CUNA survey covered 1,046 mobile phone users.

We will remind, last month it was also reported that 1 in 7 owners of smartphones in Europe make online purchases from a mobile device.
