Putin instructed law enforcement officers to develop a system for combating cybercrimes

The dynamics of crimes committed with the use of IT observed in recent years is negative, and therefore it is necessary to create an effective system for combating cybercrimes. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed law enforcement agencies to develop an appropriate system during his speech at an expanded meeting of the board of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

“I ask the General Prosecutor's Office, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other specialized structures, to analyze how effectively the work in this direction is built, how the existing procedural opportunities are used, and in general I ask to develop a system, a set of measures to reduce the number of such crimes, ”the president said.

According to the head of state, this refers to such crimes as "an attempt on the private life of citizens, on their property, funds deposited in bank accounts."

As Putin noted, information technologies are actively developing, they are entering all spheres of the economy and the everyday life of citizens, and this trend will continue. Therefore, it is necessary to develop such a system for combating cybercrime so that it protects the interests of people and the state, but at the same time does not hinder progress.
