Do check cashing stores have any real ability to verify checks (the account balance)? Or do they all basically just get your info and hope for the best? Is there some set number of a check where they really go all out to find out? Certain amounts I have never seen a problem but just wondering...

So how often do banks go civil first criminal (including trying to find out who is really behind the "info") angles on people?

ive used them before w/ no prob, just roll up when most people are at work (w/ fake plates maybe) grab and walk away like its no big thing. I've even used houses of people who i knew to be at work (when I knew when it'd be delivered).
